Chosin

Playing Friday Sept. 24 at Voorhees Hall 105, 7 p.m.

The 2010 documentary Chosin, from director Brian Iglesias, tells the stories of the survivors of the 1950 Chosin Reservoir Campaign. History books will tell you about the 15,000 U.S. soldiers and marines, trapped and outnumbered, fought to save the lives of 98,000 refugees, but this documentary will show exactly what it was like to be thrust into a combat that was described as more intense and terrifying than the horrors experienced by the Marines on Iwo Jima. After 60 years of silence, the survivors of Chosin remember one of the most savage and highly-decorated battles in American history. Emotionally-charged, visceral and unrelenting, Chosin will leave you asking, "How can these brave soldiers have been forgotten?"
