JR Pacifico, Bobby Adashev, Dave Boyce and Sagar Desai are the guys who make up the comical quartet Super Rocket Car. "Handsome is a good way to describe our music," said lead guitarist Bobby Adashev. Stemming out of Mountainside, N.J., Super Rocket Car produces fun, rock-and-roll-pop music. Sullivan Hall, Bar East and The Stone Pony are on the list of venues that SRC has played, and they continue to add more locations to the roster. "Cool story, we played a strip club once and my Mom was there," said Adashev. Despite playing some shows, the guys are chomping at the bit to play a show at Rutgers University. "It'd be really cool to play some basement shows in New Brunswick," Adashev enthusiastically said. All but lead singer JR Pacifico currently attend the University.
Super Rocket Car has a self-titled EP recorded and available on iTunes for purchase. The four-song sampler features one of the band's most prized songs, "Sinners and Saints." The track begins with a captivating guitar riff and builds into a tuneful masterpiece with relatable lyrics. Though short in length, the EP definitely shows the band's musical creativeness and talent. With an album in the works, Super Rocket Car holds promise for the future. On a more definitive note, the band will be playing a radio show on WSPC Jersey City on April 22 at 5 p.m.
