With nearly three seasons under its belt, it is hard to believe that Tosh.0 is still so underrated. In Tosh.0, comedian Daniel Tosh provides sarcastic commentary on internet video clips, society, celebrities and other parts of popular culture. And while the show sounds like The Soup, web edition, Tosh.0 offers unprecedented segments that give the series cult appeal.
Each episode features clips from the most popular online videos of the week. Tosh's comments are snarky and biting as he delves into all aspects of the Internet. But Tosh does not select only one kind of video, he mocks absurdity as well as applauds ingenuity. Tosh's segment "20 Seconds on the Clock" allows for the comedian to showcase his improvisational skills, allotting himself 20 seconds to see how many jokes he can spout.
Some viral videos have become a web phenomenon for their infamy. Tosh gives a chance for the embarrassed subjects of these videos to save themselves from further public roasting in a segment called "Web Redemption." Most famous Web Redemptions include interviews with Antoine Dodson and Paul Vasquez for their videos, "Bed Intruder" and "Double Rainbow," respectively.
Tosh gave Internet sensation Dave Willis a shot at redemption on Feb. 15 for crying in front of his favorite wrestler in 2006. Sergeant Slaughter, Koko B. Ware and the "Million Dollar Man" joined Tosh to give Willis a second chance.
While all these segments make Tosh.0 stand out, it is fan participation that keeps devotees tuning in each week. On Tosh's blog, fans can add captions to funny pictures, upload videos and talk to the comedian. To see what all the buzz is about, tune in to Comedy Central on Tuesday to see what crazy videos he posts next.
